I love the mission and I love the small class sizes. However, I especially love the diverse and unique students we serve. We are blessed to serve many nontraditional undergraduate students and a large percentage of first-generation college students. The opportunity to partner with these students is incredible. I love partnering with them to achieve their goals. Seeing their proud and invested families is especially exciting and gratifying, too.

What makes us different?

CUAA's School of Nursing state-of-the-art simulation center includes five hospital rooms, eight clinic rooms, a 10-bed skills lab that acts as an emergency department, a three-room apartment, and a courtroom. The rooms are used daily as the setting for a variety of inpatient and outpatient simulations- including obstetrics! Learn more about Simulation Labs here.

I am so grateful for the education I received at CUAA. One of the most important lessons I learned from the simulation lab experiences was not to have tunnel vision and not to get caught up on just one possible issue.
